Start Carving!
It’s very straightforward. To find out if it’s for you just call our group leader, Tom Young, or better still come and see him and the group at our venue. We meet at St John’s UR Church Hall, Lynwood Grove Orpington on the first Saturday of the month between 9.00am and 1.00pm. Just turn up and see what’s involved. We don’t lecture - we give help, advice and guidance. Come along for a trial period. If it’s what you want then think about joining. Most of the benefits are mentioned on the home page.
Tools and Equipment.
No problem if you are already carving and have everything but if not then the group are able to supply a small range of tools and carving woods at very reasonable prices, just to get you started. For absolute beginners we will also loan some tools until you have purchased some of your own. Plus, just talking to our members, you will receive much helpful advice on where to go and what to get. Wood carving doesn’t have to be expensive!
