About Us.
The Woodentops is a woodcarving group based in Orpington, Kent.
Established in 1997 our membership includes carvers of all abilities from novice to advanced. We meet every first Saturday of the month, with the exception of January, between 9.00am and 1.00pm. Our venue is St John’s United Reformed Church Hall, Lynwood Grove, Orpington, Kent BR6 0BG (5 minutes walk from Orpington station).
We are not a class. We are a group of carvers of all abilities who help each other. Visitors may come to our sessions to see how we work and there is no obligation to join. Our members are always more than happy to discuss their work. Membership is open to all, irrespective of ability.
BWA.
We are affiliated to the British Woodcarvers Association. Membership benefits include: Opportunities to meet other carvers, Advice and guidance for beginners, Guest Speakers from the BWA, Access to National Exhibitions, Woodcarver Gazette Magazine, Access to regional meetings and Third Party Insurance.
Our next meeting is 4 February 2012 (no meeting in January)
